Office Manager

The Office Manager is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, assisting the “walk-in” public and taking accurate messages for the Assessor’s Office. Assists with the retrieval, filing and sorting of property records and sales data. Performs various office duties including but not limited to, preparing warrants, accounts payable, clerical duties, and listing of properties.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The visual requirement of this job is similar to those classified as machine operators, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative. This is a minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

This position may require flexibility to work additional hours beyond the typical workday when needed.  This position may be required to attend classes that may be located outside of Benton County.
